E-mail: info@aerodrom-berane.me
Contact person for privacy questions: Maik Steinmüller (via the e-mail address above).
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit aerodrom-berane.me, sign up for our newsletter or contact us by e-mail, why we do so and which rights you have.
aerodrom-berane.me is a single information page about the planned Aerodrom Berane International airport. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
We are a company based in Montenegro. Our processing is therefore governed by the Montenegrin Law on Personal Data Protection. A new Law on Personal Data Protection, modelled on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), entered into force on 19 September 2026 and applies from 19 March 2027. Where we analyse the use of our website by visitors located in the European Union or the European Economic Area (see section 5), the GDPR applies as well (Art. 3(2)(b) GDPR).
Our website is hosted by DomainFactory GmbH, c/o WeWork, Neuturmstraße 5, 80331 Munich, Germany. The servers are located in the European Union.
Every time you open our website, the server automatically records the following information in log files:
We need this data to deliver the website to you, to keep it stable and secure and to detect and investigate misuse or attacks. In addition, the statistics tools AWStats and Webalizer, which run on our hosting server, evaluate the log files once a day and create statistics, for example the number of visits, pages viewed, referring websites and browsers used. The AWStats statistics also contain a list of the IP addresses that accessed the website. No data is passed on to third parties for this.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning and well-maintained website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: Raw log files are archived on the server. The archive of each month is automatically deleted at the end of the following month, so raw log files are kept for a maximum of about two months. The AWStats and Webalizer statistics are stored on our hosting server for the duration of the hosting contract, unless we delete them earlier.
We use the consent tool "Cookie Consent – GDPR & CCPA" by Elementor. When you first visit our website, a banner asks for your consent. No cookies are set before you make a choice. Cookies and scripts that are not strictly necessary, in particular Google Analytics, are only activated if you actively agree (opt-in). You can accept all, reject all or choose individual categories (Necessary, Functional, Analytical, Advertisement). We currently do not use any advertising cookies.
Cookies used on this website (all set by our own domain):
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| cookiez-user-consent | Stores your consent choice. Strictly necessary. | 180 days |
| wp_consent_functional, wp_consent_statistics, wp_consent_marketing | Store your choice per category so that the WordPress plugins on our site respect it (WP Consent API). Strictly necessary. | 30 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes users. Only with your consent. | up to 2 years |
| _ga_PJ4VM540MP | Google Analytics: stores the session state. Only with your consent. | up to 2 years |
Some browsers shorten the lifetime of cookies (Chrome, for example, to a maximum of 400 days). Your consent choice is valid for 180 days. After that, the banner asks you again.
Consent records: To be able to prove that consent was given, the consent tool sends a record of your choice to Elementor Ltd., Tuval 40, Ramat Gan, Israel, and its affiliates (e.g. Elementor EU Ltd., Cyprus). The record contains an anonymised consent ID, your country, your consent status, the categories you selected and a timestamp. It is kept for 30 days. Elementor stores data in Israel, the EU or the USA. For Israel, the European Commission has confirmed an adequate level of data protection. For other countries, Elementor states that it uses standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Legal basis: for the consent records, our legal obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR); for the strictly necessary cookies, our legitimate interest in managing your consent correctly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for analytics cookies, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Google Consent Mode: Our website uses Google Consent Mode v2 in basic mode. Google Analytics is only loaded after you have given consent. If you decline, no data is sent to Google.
Changing or withdrawing your consent: You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. Click the round cookie icon at the bottom right of the page to open the consent settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service, which we integrate via the WordPress plugin "Site Kit by Google". The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
Google Analytics uses the cookies "_ga" and "_ga_PJ4VM540MP" (see section 4) to recognise your browser across page views. The following usage data is collected:
According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses of users in the EU. The IP address is used on servers in the EU to determine the approximate location and is then discarded. We have not activated Google Signals, we do not use a user ID, we have not linked Google Analytics to other Google products and we have switched off all options for sharing data with Google. We only receive aggregated statistical reports and cannot identify you personally.
Purpose: to understand how visitors use our website and to improve its content and structure.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie icon (see section 4).
Retention: Event-level data is automatically deleted after 2 months, user-level data after 14 months.
International transfer: Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023.
More information: Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can also prevent tracking with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use Google Search Console to see how our website performs in Google Search. Search Console does not place cookies or run scripts on our website. Google provides us with aggregated data from its search service, such as search queries, clicks, impressions and average position. No data about individual visitors is passed to us.
All fonts, images and videos on our website are stored on our own hosting server. No content is loaded from third-party servers, so no data is sent to other providers when the page loads.
You can sign up for our newsletter to receive news about the Aerodrom Berane project. For this we process your name and e-mail address. To sign up, you must tick the box "I agree to receive the Aerodrom Berane newsletter by email." The box is not pre-ticked.
When you submit the form, your name, your e-mail address, your consent and the date, time and page URL of the sign-up are sent by e-mail to our mailbox info@aerodrom-berane.me (see section 9). The data is not stored in the website's database, and we do not use a newsletter service. We keep this e-mail as proof of your consent.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing your data is voluntary. Without an e-mail address we cannot send you the newsletter.
Unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe at any time, for example by e-mail to info@aerodrom-berane.me. We will then remove you from our mailing list without delay. We keep the sign-up e-mail as proof of your consent for a maximum of three years after you unsubscribe and then delete it.
If you contact us by e-mail, we process your e-mail address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer your request.
Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), if your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our e-mails are hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft 365). More information is available in Microsoft's privacy statement at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/privacy/privacystatement.
We delete your message once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Depending on the purpose, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
Under Montenegrin law, we rely on the corresponding legal grounds of the Law on Personal Data Protection.
We only share personal data to the extent necessary. The following service providers process data on our behalf:

Montenegro is not a member of the European Union. Our service providers process data in the EU and in third countries such as Israel and the USA. For Israel, the European Commission has confirmed an adequate level of data protection. Google LLC in the USA is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details on the safeguards used by the individual providers are given in the sections above and in the providers' privacy policies.
